LIMITED TIME OFFER for... "Robert Ragan's Guide to the Best FREE Internet Genealogy Databases and How to Use Them Step-by-Step" Videos on CDsBack in 2003, I wrote the original version of my popular "Guide to the Best FREE Internet Genealogy Databases and How to Use Them Step-by-Step" manual. Since then, the on-line genealogy databases have gotten even better. Now this popular course is on a new video on CD version, with even more information. When you see these lessons on CDs, shown step-by-step in video format, you will be shocked at the amount of quality genealogy information you can get from these databases...not to mention all of the e-mail addresses you can get of people who are researching the same lines that you are. I'm excited because I can show you so much more on the videos than I could in the old printed guide. This is an improved version in a big way! Here is what people said about the old 2003 printed guide (no longer available). After you read these comments, imagine about how much more you can discover while you follow along with me step-by-step on your computer while you watch the videos. All you have to do is watch, press the pause button whenever you want, and easily do it yourself, all from the comfort of your chair.
Have you noticed that every time you start looking around at genealogy information on the Internet that some genealogy company wants you to sign up with their service on a monthly contract so that you can access their data and databases? There is nothing wrong with this, it is business. You can certainly find good information this way. But are you aware of all of the FREE data and databases that you are missing out on? Over the years I've been asked this question hundreds of times, "Robert - Should I sign up for _______ (fill in the blank with one of the big name genealogy services) service?" I always answer, "It has to be YOUR decision." You see, I'm not going to take the risk for that person. I've heard both success stories from people who were delighted and horror stories from people who were dissatisfied with their experiences with these services. It goes both ways. For many people this poses a problem. This popular course offers an affordable solution: Go for the "free stuff" first. You really should know about the best of the free Internet databases and what they can offer you. Note I said "best" because some of them are not worth your time. Let Me Ask YOU These Two Important Questions:
Here's an even MORE IMPORTANT question: Can you find the little-known surname databases that other genealogy researchers put on the Internet that the big genealogy directories and databases may not even list? I ask this because what is most important to you is finding information on the surnames that you are researching, right? There are multitudes of these smaller surnames databases on-line right now. Many of them have their surname databases set up in a format that you can download to your computer. I have will show you some incredible examples of this in on the videos on CDs. That's why I've included a SPECIAL BONUS VIDEOS on CD #2: "How to Find the Smaller, Personal, On-line Surname Databases." You will discover how to do this with ease. I believe that this bonus section alone is worth more than the price you will pay for the whole course.

You may be asking yourself these questions...*QUESTION: Videos on CDS...Whaaaa? Don't you mean DVDs? -ANSWER: These CDs have the many video segments in the "Guide to the Best FREE Internet Genealogy Databases and How to Use Them Step-by-Step" that are created with a special program called "Camtasia", which lets me capture, or "film" my computer screen in action as I talk to you. After you get the CDs, you will put them in your CD drive on you computer and be able to watch all of the lessons on your computer screen as you follow along, step-by-step. You watch what I do and say on MY computer screen, then press the PAUSE button that is on the video, then try what I'm showing you on YOUR computer screen. You do need to be on your computer to watch them so you can easily follow along. *QUESTION: I have a slow connection and couldn't even view the video lessons that you showed us in the past few issues of Treasure Maps newsletter. Will it work for me? -ANSWER: Please understand: The videos WILL work on your computer no matter what connection speed to the Internet you have, because the videos are on the CDs themselves, not the Internet. I set these video lessons up on CDs like this because there is so much good information that is covered. There is no way that many of you could ever watch it on-line because it would take so long for you to download. These video CDs are pretty long and loaded with many different lessons. *QUESTION: How long are video lessons? -ANSWER: The total time on both CDs will run close to 2 hours. You can use the course in small segments or as long as you'd like. I will be there for you, on the videos, night and day. All this time is broken down into many different segments and covers many free genealogy databases and many other helpful tips and tricks. It will keep you going for a long time, because you will watch as much as you want, follow along and try the examples for yourself, and continue through all of the video segments. About Teaching and DiscoveringI've come to terms with some things about myself over the years. I've learned more about my strengths, weaknesses and gifts that I possess. Also, I can admit (keep in mind, it has always been hard for me to give myself a compliment), with modesty but conviction, that I have a gift of teaching. I can help people, interested in genealogy, learn things they thought were hard to understand, or have never even thought of before. It has been referred to as "flipping a switch" in their mind, or simply looking at things in a whole new light. And...doing it in an easy to understand, plain English way. Years ago, I decided that I want to use this gift to make the world, in some small way, a better place. So, using my gift and helping others discover more about their own genealogy and family history is a pretty good thing, in my opinion. It is an honor, actually. You would not believe some of the e-mails and letters I get where people tell me how my newsletter, or one of my guides, or Web site has helped them. It gives me goose bumps every time I read a success story and I hope to hear your success story after you discover more about finding your ancestors using the free on-line genealogy databases and going through this course. |
